Memories

Alright, this seems to be the "trend" going around the blogs I stalk. So now of course I have to do it too. However since I haven't given this blog addy to anyone I will have to do some foot work and write my memories to everyone else first so they know where to find me.

1. Leave a comment on my blog, one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

I've been waiting! Glad you finally posted this and thanks for your comments on mine (I must admit that being a mom can be tough and when someone thinks your are doing something right -- it really feels good!). Now, my memories of you -- Holy Ma-roll-e, can you be any more talented in music or what? First, I would have DIED without you in choir and you so patiently helped me when I was way off tune. And then, when we played rock band you ROCKED OUT on every peice of equipment -- you were a total pro. One of my all-time favorite memories is our discussion of Nathan and what a wonderful boy he is and how you want him raised. I must admit that I am totally partial to him and have feel in love with him since the moment I saw him. I cannot wait to hear any more news of new little ones to your family. You are a great mom -- patient, kind and definitely an educator (teaching him tons of stuff in a simple and caring way).

I remember when I didn't know you well at all and you were in scouts and I saw you with your scout shirt on and I thought (poor her, stuck in scouts--little did I know) and then when I got my scouts calling, you were SO organized and helpful--- I was all about Michelle!!! I also learned to enjoy scouts a little bit. Of course I have to go with Jen and say my favorite memory is of you kicking total Rock Band butt at Melissa's house. That was fun, and it's a shame we couldn't do more things like that sooner. You're awesome!

Yes. I remember when you and Jon first moved into the ward. I had no idea that you knew my sister-in-law until I caught you two chatting it up at Olive Garden while the rest of us were late for our fun GNO. I remember how SUPER WILLING you always were to babysit. Hmm...should have taken you up on that before Nathan came along. Also I've loved that you come to almost ALL of my crazy "buy this" parties. AND you were our favorite guide at the butterfly house. You're so fun to hang out with. I think it's time for another Girls night out.

I remember the first time we met. I picked you up so we could drive an hour to Ann Arbor for a playdate at the children's museum. You weren't a mom yet, but already willing to jump in the fun! Anyway, an hour long car ride each way definitely gave us some time to get to know eachother. Well, at least our backgrounds which were surprisingly similar. ;) You party animal. I also love looking back at the day you showed up with Nathan at our presidency meeting. That was so funny!!(just like that??!!) Now I enjoy continuing to get to know you as we serve in the Primary together. You rock!

When first getting to know I wondered, "how in the heck does this woman stay alive with all the things she WON'T eat???!!!!" but you are totally cool about it. Memories of you-stripy toe socks! Cheese ravioli with the sauce on the side, salad with cheese but no other veggies, your beautiful smile and fun playful personality. I loved that you offered to go to Chuck E. Cheese anytime. really
